Our School lies within the Parish of St Augustine of Canterbury, Whitton and we have very close links with the Church and the Parish. We hold a termly Service at St Augustine’s for the whole school and all the classes visit the Church for a Class Worship over the course of the year.
Father Stephen and Sister Eileen are regular visitors to the School, helping lead daily Worship and whole school Mass, providing training to the pupils and running our very popular lunchtime Pathfinders Club. Father Stephen is also one of our School Governors.
Bishop Perrin also serves the Parish of St Philip and St James of Whitton and like St Augustine’s, we have very close links with both the Church and the Parish. Junior classes visit St Philip and St James over the course of the year for Class Worship, and Father David is a regular visitor to Bishop Perrin as he helps lead whole school Worship and termly whole school Mass. He also comes in to help teach and assist with our RE lessons.
We very much feel that Bishop Perrin is part of the Whitton community and we support lots of local initiatives including the Whitton Business Association’s St George’s Day Parade and Christmas Lights. We also raise money for the charity Homelink (http://www.homelinkdaycare.co.uk) and Shooting Star Chase (https://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk).
We are very fortunate to have developed strong links with the RFU at Twickenham Stadium and Harlequins RFC at The Stoop.
We continue to look to develop our links with the local community and support as many local initiatives as possible.
