Parish and Community Links
Our school lies within the Parish of St. Augustine of Canterbury, Whitton. We have very close links with both the church and the parish. Bishop Perrin School also has very close links to the Parish of St Philip and St James of Whitton. During their time at Bishop Perrin School, children will visit both churches and participate in services led by the vicars and we value the close relationship we have with both our local churches.
Both the parish of St Augustine's and St Philip and St James provide foundation governors to be part of our governing board and the vicars of the respective churches are regular visitors to Bishop Perrin School. They come to lead whole-school mass and collective worships as well as support the teaching of our RE curriculum. We hold an end-of-term service at St Augustine’s at Christmas, Easter and the end of the school year, to which parents and other family members are welcome to attend.

Bishop Perrin is part of the Whitton community and we support many local initiatives including the Whitton Business Association’s St George’s Day Parade and Christmas Lights event. We raise money for Homelink Respite Day Centre, which is sited next to St Augustine's Church Homelink. Our school choir and sometimes individual classes have sung for the clients at Homelink, as well as the Parkinson's Society at the Whitton Community Centre.
We are very fortunate to have also developed strong links with the RFU at Twickenham Stadium and Harlequins RFC at The Stoop – we have solar panels on our roof which were part funded by the RFU and take part in Harlequins RFC events such as tag rugby competitions and teaching programmes.
We are always looking to develop our links with the local community and support as many local initiatives as possible.
