Welcome from the Headteacher
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I’d like to welcome you to Bishop Perrin Primary School and thank you for visiting our website.
We are a small and friendly one-form entry school set within the Parish of St Augustine’s of Canterbury in Whitton. Bishop Perrin School is a caring and inclusive community, focused on nurturing strong relationships with all our families to create a secure sense of belonging, with our school values at the heart of our Christian ethos.
Visitors to our school often comment on the polite and positive attitude of our children; our vibrant and wide-ranging curriculum; our inclusive and caring nature; and our calm and purposeful learning environment. We care deeply about the wellbeing and development of each individual and pride ourselves in the warmth of a community in which all our pupils feel valued. We were delighted to have this formally recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection (February 2024) in which we were graded outstanding across all areas.
We have an experienced and dedicated team of staff and a supportive governing body who have the highest aspirations for all our children and support them academically, socially and emotionally to be the best that they can be.
We are committed to providing a broad and balanced education of which pastoral care, excellent teaching and a strong emphasis on core values contribute to our vision of ‘celebrating learning together in faith, hope and love’. Our curriculum has been carefully designed to engage and challenge every child; to foster a love for learning and a curiosity of the world, to gain independence and become lifelong learners. At the core of our curriculum is a desire for all children to be readers; to develop a love of reading for the enjoyment it brings and to seek out books as a gate-way to future learning.
If you are considering this school for your child, we'll be delighted to make an appointment for you to visit us and learn more about the school.
I look forward to welcoming you to Bishop Perrin School in the future.
